Travellers

Jeannie Robertson was a renowned folk singer from Aberdeen. This illustration is drawn from a photograph from 1960. I'm hoping to use my drawings of scottish travellers within my silversmithing and jewellery, it will hopefully work?!

Pachederm

Lindsay was inspired by the array of unusual trinkets, so much so that she used them to make interesting pin brooches. Here you can see she has used elephant, and bead pieces, which are attached to a recycled pin. Wonderful!

Farthing Fe

Farthing Brooch, my class very generously helped me to recycle other people's unwanted jewellery and odd bits and bobs in to new pieces. This is my contribution. I pierced out an old farthing given to me from my mum, and used scrap metal for the backing. It goes well with my new twee jacket. Hope you like it...
